L.S.V. Cognatio

L.S.V. Cognatio is the national student association for students of Tio businessschool, the private university for tourism, hospitality, and business management. Cognatio is a young and entrepreneurial student association founded in 2005. The underlying idea has always been to create a sense of kinship among students. The name Cognatio therefore stands for 'kinship.'

Currently, Cognatio is a national student association with over 700 active members. The association is located in six different cities in the Netherlands: Hengelo, Eindhoven, Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Groningen, and Utrecht. Each location is known for its unique activities. For example, Utrecht has well-attended gatherings in their local pub, and Amsterdam is famous for its notorious pub crawls. In addition to social events and parties, a variety of other activities are organized, including trips and networking events.

The association is governed by a national board overseeing individual boards for each location, making the relationship between the board and its members very personal and friendly.

Students from all disciplines at Tio business school can become members of Cognatio, regardless of age. By becoming a member, you get to know many new people, quickly make good friends, and build an amazing network. In short, with Cognatio, you make the most of your student years!
